Testing sewage for the coronavirus seemed to work. It detected the outbreak in Cache County.

A pilot project that screened sewage for the coronavirus will be expanded to include 40 plants across Utah covering three quarters of the state's population. The study showed that such screening can help predict outbreaks of COVID-19 and monitor communities' infection trends.
