(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) John Knoblock, Bonneville Shoreline Trail Committee chairman and longtime resident in the Mount Olympus neighborhood, below, has been trying to find ways to connect the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. The proposed alignment for the trail crosses designated wilderness in several spots along the Wasatch foothills in Salt Lake County. A forthcoming bill from Rep. John Curtis, R-Utah, would adjust wilderness boundaries so that the trail could accommodate mountain bikes, which are not allowed in wilderness areas.
