Youngest Utahns ‘overlooked’ in Summit County COVID-19 data, public health order

Not focusing on the youngest Utahns as well as child care workers is “a real disservice,” says a coordinator with Early Childhood Alliance.

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) Kristen Schulz, of Early Childhood Alliance, collects sticks and pinecones with Madelein Safranek, 3, during a neighborhood outing with PC Tots on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021. Early Childhood Alliance and a mom from Kamas would like more guidelines to be put in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in child care in Summit County. They also want data to be collected and released on COVID-19 dashboards for 0 to 5 year olds, like there is for school-aged kids.
