How much coronavirus testing and tracing will it take to start reopening Utah? No one’s sure.

(Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune) Tara Scribellito, a Salt Lake County Health Department nurse supervisor of infectious diseases, is working to track the path of COVID-19. Through a technique called contact tracing, Scribellito interviews every COVID-19 infected person, determines who they’ve recently interacted with and contacts those exposed people and tells them to monitor their health or to self-quarantine. The process continues until everyone who’s been exposed is out of circulation, stopping virus transmission.
